In 2022 I was asked to make gold jewelry representing Iran for a French woman, Sylvie. The project commenced by asking questions about Sylvie’s style, which jewelry she likes best, and searching through originally Iranian stones and symbols. It resulted in choosing a pair of earrings with turquoise stone.
Iran’s turquoise is remarkably famous worldwide; the best quality of this greenish stone is mined in Neishabour.
