Re:work Exhibition
At the Secrist | Beach
Re:Work was a collaborative exhibition hosted at Secrist Beach Gallery in Chicago, showcasing projects from Norman Teague’s design class at the University of Illinois Chicago in collaboration with Bridgette Buckley. The exhibition celebrated creativity through resourcefulness, with student projects emphasizing sustainability, material experimentation, and reimagined functionality. Each piece explored themes of renewal and transformation, breathing new life into reclaimed objects and challenging traditional design conventions.

RekindlE
Rekindle is a sculptural floor lamp created as part of an ad-hoc design exploration. The lamp’s design emphasizes the concept of duality and connection, represented by two overlapping shades that evoke the idea of twins. Each shade interacts with the light to cast layered, dynamic shadows, creating an intimate and reflective ambiance.
Crafted with attention to materiality, Rekindle symbolizes renewal and warmth, inviting users to reflect on the emotional connections between objects and the spaces they inhabit.

Re:Pinnstol
Nomad Design
As part of the Nomad Design Project, I reimagined the traditional Pinnstol chair by replacing at least three of its original components with reclaimed objects. This exercise highlighted the intersection of functionality and sustainability, transforming discarded materials into meaningful design elements.
The ReWorked Pinnstol chair celebrates resourcefulness, demonstrating how found objects and garbage can take on new lives as functional, aesthetically engaging pieces.
